how do i connect to other computers in the same workgroupon an ad-hoc network when their computer keeps requesting a password even though they havnt assigned one? i dont get it. we are in the same workgroup and everything seems correct. the thing is that even when someone tries to connect to my computer it requests a password and i didnt asign one either??? whats the go?

2) There are 2 types of folder/file sharing.
Simple file sharing (default)

The other type of file sharing is sharing with user/group permissions. Check this out.. maybe you have enabled this..
