I love computers. I love them so much I'm thinking of studying something computer related in college, not sure what it is yet. I Don't really know the difference between computer science and computer engineering and what not. I really need some help.
What's a better major for the future, Computer Science or Sometime of engineering for computers?suzuki
Computer Science (CS) mainly deals with software (basic and advance programming, operating systems, theories of computing, etc.) while Computer Engineering (CE) deals with mainly the hardware components of the computer (circuits, electronic devices, etc.). Computer Engineering is, in many ways, parallel to Electrical Engineering.
Even though CS handles software and CE handles hardware, you'll still learn some basics of circuits in CS and some programming in CE.
Despite the differences, both Computer Science and Engineering depend on each other. Without software, the computer is nothing but an empty shell and without hardware, software cannot exist.

I think the engineer thing would be prettty cool simply b/c engineers are really an in demand career.
