AVG Free is good enough for personal use. It detects many viruses and trojans, so you are fine off with it. But Kaspersky of course provides a more solid protection. Now coming to your question, you can't use a single product key on two computers. One will be declared invalid and blocked from getting any updates. If you wish to continue with free anti-viruses, then you have got two nice options. One is Avast, the best free anti-virus I have ever come across. It has a host of features, is very customizable and provides rock solid protection. You can have the Home Edition from http://avast.com/

Another choice is Kaspersky itself! AOL provides the Active Virus Shield, a free anti-virus based on Kaspersky's detection engine. It does 90% of what the professional version does, and so will keep your protected.
